The United Methodist Book Of Discipline
A worship committee helps plan, coordinate, and evaluate a congregation's religious services. Their core duties include supporting clergy and music leaders, preparing special seasonal services, managing logistics like communion and altars, and recruiting volunteers such as ushers, readers, and choir members.
Some local churches elect a worship committee or worship planning team to work with the pastor and the music leaders in planning for and preparing the worship services.
Revelation 4:11 (CEB)
You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, because you created all things. It is by your will that they existed and were created."
Revelation 5:12-13 (CEB)
They said in a loud voice, "Worthy is the slaughtered Lamb to receive power, wealth, wisdom, and might, and honor, glory, and blessing." And I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea—I heard everything everywhere say, "Blessing, honor, glory, and power belong to the one seated on the throne and to the Lamb forever and always."
John 4:23-24 (CEB)
But the time is coming—and is here!—when true worshippers will worship in spirit and truth. The Father looks for those who worship him this way. God is spirit, and it is necessary to worship God in spirit and truth."
